My Philosophy of Education

My Philosophy of Education

Education is the joy of imparting new knowledge to students, as well as the joy of instructing, facilitating, assisting, developing, and directing them. It is the process of accepting or offering systematic instruction, particularly in a school or university setting. However, it is essential to have teaching philosophies in order to be a teacher to know why you want to teach, how you want to teach, and what you want to teach. The study of general and fundamental issues such as existence, knowledge, values, reasoning, mind, and speech is referred to as philosophy.

Education's goal is to appreciate the human being and his existence by liberating him from all societal and cultural constraints and allowing him to choose and decide what he'll do next and also be.  Education teaches us the value of hard work while also assisting us in our growth and development and demonstrating the distinction between good and wrong. As a result, by understanding and respecting rights, rules, and regulations, we may help to form a better society to live in.

As for the curriculum, I believe that the curriculum should be based on the students’ interests and beliefs so that the students will be more engaged and interacted in the teaching learning process. Any material that promotes the child's progress and meets his requirements should be included in the curriculum.

In this process of education, students are the center and the teacher is just a facilitator. The teacher asks critical questions in order to raise the curiosity in the students’ mind. So the teacher gives instructions and the students are going to get the solution or the answer by thinking and analyzing. The student must uncover the truth on his own; the teacher must encourage the student and spark his interest in order for him to gain information. Moreover, classes shouldn’t be lecturing all the time, there should be a space for discussion classes to help students interact and feel that they are free to express and choose. Moreover, teaching is more effective by practice which is based on activities and personal experiences. The teacher encourages the student to learn on his own, which helps him become more artistic, confident, and cooperative.

Not only teachers, administrators, and policymakers at all levels would benefit from understanding educational philosophy, but so would students, parents, and citizens in general. At their risk, societies who value education and want it to be administered in a deliberate and informed manner disregard educational philosophy.
